The Uchiha were once a very powerful clan. But now, they are a shadow of their former selves. Once thought to be completely destroyed by Itachi , somehow a few survived in hiding and multiplied slowly. But, It was a sad thing to hear, that they had to breed with those without the Bloodline, now due to this dilution. The Uchiha clan is a shadow of its former self. Now, only 1 in 100 members gain the sharingan, and even than only the gifted may use it. Beyond that dilution many of their techniques were lost over this period of time aswell. The knowledge of the mangekyou sharingan is kept by the clan head only, although it would be useless to many of this clans members to gain the knowledge as few could use it to actualy gain this incredible power.
