Bio:
Unlike many, Maiko lived a relatively happy life, though it was by no means a walk in the park. As a child of the Main Branch of the Hyuuga, a great deal of expectations had been cast on her to succeed, and she had been heavily drilled in the basics of Ninjutsu as well as her family's Jyuuken-ryu of hand-to-hand combat, where her abilities were proven sufficient to earn her their village's headband at a surprisingly young age, only increasing the pressure. After all, a "genius" like this would only properly develop if the flames were fanned unrelentingly.

Despite this, Maiko had not grown arrogant, nor had she become traumatized by the cold intensity by which she was being shaped - To the contrary, she silently thrived on it, and has still retained something of a child's innocence. While her age has a tendency to set her apart from her peers, she hasn't given up on making friends yet, and her respectful behavior has earned her both a grudging respect and annoyance in measure from her fellow villagers... Or so she's told.

Maiko's closed-off training and somewhat isolated upbringing have lead her to a somewhat idealistic view of 'Right' and 'Wrong', and while she doesn't question orders or "the way of things" out loud, she is often disturbed by the inhumane treatment of other people. Then again... Maybe she just has to toughen up a little - She is a Ninja, after all.

Equipment: - Two Kunai, between a half dozen and a dozen shuriken, a wrap of thin whipcord and two exploding tags for traps.

Character Appearance: Unbelievably short, Maiko tends to disappear in crowds... Though under ordinary circumstances, she stands out quite well by any means. She keeps her black hair long, and her Hyuuga's eyes are impossible to mistake for anyone else. As for clothes... When at home, she dresses quite simply in the unmarked off-white robes that her clan prefers. When abroad, however, her outfit changes to more closely match her companions... Well, at least she tries.

General character Strengths: Graceful in Hand to hand, strong composure under stress. Some skill with traps, both setting them up and noticing them.

General character Weaknesses: Painfully modest, (Ie. Feels uncomfortable showing of in front of older Shinobi, will usually follow an authority figure's instructions without question even if she has a 'better idea'.) Craves approval from peers. Physically small/fragile, unable to take much damage in fighting and easily overpowered when cornered.
